Are you a person who loves to have foliage around your home or office, but instead of "lush and green" you have "wilted and brown"? So you don't have a green thumb – the people behind the Click & Grow want you to know that green thumb or not, you don't have to worry! You can finally have that lovely plant you've always wanted with just a couple of clicks.
The Click & Grow's system takes care of the growing and fertilizing of a plant, via sensors, processors and special software contained in the pot. It doesn't use soil as a growing system, instead using a process called aeroponics – which grows plants in an air or mist environment. According to the makers of Click & Grow, they say it can grow just about any houseplant that requires a lot of effort – such as a cactus, a rose or other exotic houseplants that require a little extra TLC.
To begin growing your desired plant, you place a plant cartridge with seeds into the pot and fill up the water tank. Each individual plant has a specific growth regimen, and the corresponding program will be available on the product's website for download. Connect the pot to a PC via a USB cable, and download the appropriate growth program to suit the plant's needs. The pot measures all of the variants affecting plant growth to ensure the plant receives the best care possible.
Basic models will feature notifications to let you know when the water tank needs to be refilled, but more expensive models will actually make water from the air, letting you totally off the hook when it comes to care.
The Click & Grow is going to be available in a few months, but will start product testing in a few weeks. To give the product a try, visit www.clickandgrow.com and register your email address.
