Over the past decade, photography has evolved from capturing special moments on film to recording them on the memory card of a digital camera. With film, you cross your fingers and hope that you get at least one good shot. Digital cameras allow you to preview images and choose only the best to print. While traditional digital cameras let you view your images immediately, you still need to factor in the time it takes to make prints. Whether you print your own at home, use an online photo store or take your memory card to a brick and mortar shop, you still must wait to see your prints. With the Polaroid PoGo camera and its integrated printer, your photographs can be in your hands in less than a minute after taking them.

There's nothing like instant gratification, especially when you capture those special moments with your camera. The Polaroid PoGo is the first digital camera with a built-in printer that is compact and portable. With Polaroid's PoGo, you can snap, print and share photos in less than 60 seconds. A color printer is built right into the 5.0 megapixel digital camera, enabling you to view images on the 3.0" bright color LCD screen. You can immediately decide which ones to print without having to plug the camera into a computer. Polaroid's PoGo uses ZINK technology, from ZINK Imaging, which is a revolutionary new way to print photos.

ZINK stands for Zero Ink and literally uses no ink to create high-quality, durable prints. The ZINK paper is where all the magic lies. It is embedded with yellow, magenta and cyan die crystals that are heat activated to produce vibrant, colorful prints. Each 2" x 3" sticky-backed print that comes out of the PoGo prints in about 40 seconds. You no longer have to worry about ink cartages, and you get photos that are smudge-proof, water-resistant and tear-resistant. Each rechargeable lithium-ion battery lets you print up to 20 photos with each full battery charge. The ZINK technology is not the only thing that makes this camera special. The Polaroid PoGo comes with lots of other cool features.

Before you even print your photos, the Polaroid PoGo enables you to crop your images and add fun borders to them. In addition, the PoGo lets you combine shots of two people into a single image, reduce red eye and attach voice memos to still images, just to name a few of the standard features. There's also a video mode, so you can shoot video clips up to sixty minutes long (dependent upon the available memory). Have you ever accidently deleted that perfect picture? With the PoGo, there's a setting to protect your favorite images from being deleted. If you prefer, just plug your PoGo into a USB port on your computer and easily transfer images to your computer. It is also possible – with other accessories not included – to use the Polaroid PoGo as a PC camera for videoconferencing.

The Polaroid PoGo is SD compatible for expanded memory and will be available for purchase in spring 2009 at major retailers for approximately $199.00. The Polaroid PoGo comes with 10 sheets of Polaroid PoGo ZINK Photo Paper, rechargeable lithium-ion battery, AC adapter/charger, USB cable, carrying pouch and wrist strap.
