With as popular as iPhones have become in our society, most of us have chargers, cables, wires, etc. in our cars, in our offices and in our homes. But what happens when you are stuck somewhere and your phone is dying? Wouldn't it be great if no matter where you are, you could charge your phone or transfer music into your iPod/iPhone? With the new FlipSYNC by Scosche Industries, those tasks will be a snap!
The FlipSYNC made its debut at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Small enough to fit on a keychain, this product has an iPod/iPhone charger on one end and the USB plug-in on the other. To use, you simply plug the item being charged into the charger, and the USB into an available computer. Both connectors have retractable cables for easy reaching.
The product is made of a small, black plastic shell with a hole for easy attachment to a keychain. The FlipSYNC will be available in a few short months for retail sale, and will be available on Scosche's website at www.scosche.com. As of right now, the FlipSYNC is only compatible with Apple products, but rumor is that Scosche will also be releasing a SmartPhone version that features both mini and micro USB. According to the Consumer Electronic Show's blog, the product will retail for around $20.
CES blog author Donald Bell said of the FlipSYNC, "It may not be as glamorous as a 3D plasma screen TV, but as someone who's constantly keeping track of iPod cables, this thing looks like a godsend."
