Whether you’re climbing the corporate ladder or listening to a professor in a classroom, all of us have to be diligent note takers at one time or another. Laptops can be great for note taking, but what if you have to take down a quick sketch or draw a table or diagram? It’s not so simple to quickly do on a computer. The new CyberPad A4 by Adesso makes it very easy to turn your handwritten notes into digital notes.

The CyberPad can easily convert your handwritten notes into a usable digital format. Adesso claims that it is the only solution that links the notes and graphics to the PC, and then provides a digital reproduction. It uses bundled software – Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0 for Windows and version 6.0 for Mac OS X – to complete this reproduction process.

The product digitally stores exact reproductions of notes or graphics in real time, and handwriting can be converted using its 32MB of memory. The 32MB of memory can hold up to approximately 150 sheets of information. You can further expand the memory with the included SD slot which can also act as an SD card reader. It then connects to a PC via USB to transfer and manage notes and images. Ideal for graphic artists, photo editors and CAD operators, the CyberPad A4 converts into a fully-functioning PC tablet/drawing board.

To use the CyberPad A4, you simply place a piece of paper over the digital pad and write with the digital ink pen. While taking notes, it also lets users organize and manage different sheets by creating different folders. The LCD screen indicates which page you’re writing on or folder you’re writing in. The CyberPad’s riteMail! software can be used to edit and organize handwritten digital pages, and the pages can be saved as an image file and shared between your devices, even PDAs, while the MyScript software converts notes in a text editor. The product weighs just 1.5lbs., and is compatible with any type of standard or A4 paper. The battery life of the digital pen is about 15 months.

The CyberPad A4 retails for about $199, and can be purchased on Amazon and at other participating retailers. For details about the product, visit adesso.com.
