Your desktop’s monitor is an integral part of your computer system. However, most people don’t give too much thought to their monitor past its screen size. While the larger monitors of today are easier on the eyes and have certainly added to your desktop space, it’s really the CPU that’s the powerhouse of your home or office computer system. Or is it? Samsung’s HDTV Monitor TA950 has completely reinvented the desktop monitor and how it can help you work and play.

Samsung’s HDTV Monitor TA950 is a highly immersive 3D monitor. It also serves as a hub, if you will, for all your other devices that you normally attach to your computer. As a hub, Samsung’s TA950 lets you print documents or photos, hop onto Facebook and even stream video from your digital camcorder without ever having to turn on your CPU. Samsung Smart Hub lets you access apps, social networking sites and popular news outlets all without turning on your computer. With Samsung’s AllShare and a Wi-Fi adapter, you can wirelessly transfer information from digital devices – such as a digital camera – onto your monitor. With ConnectShare you can transfer the information without the use of a Wi-Fi adaptor straight from the device by plugging right into the monitor. Again, there’s no need to power on your computer. Integral to the TA950 are 2 HDMI and 2USB inputs, so that you can connect your laptop, Blu-ray player or even a game console right to the Samsung HDTV Monitor. And if you’re a gamer, the TA950 offers stellar features with you in mind.

With the TA950’s 3D HyperReal Engine full HD, 3D visuals have never been more vibrant, colorful or realistic. The technology not only provides a crystal clear experience, it also can convert 2D images to 3D. With a touch of a button, your favorite 2D shows and films can be experienced in 3D. The TA950’s Extreme 3D Experience offers 1.5x enhanced brightness. This ramped up brightness is especially apparent when using Samsung’s built-in emitter, 3D Active Glasses and panel backlight. The Samsung TA950 offers a way to enjoy work and play in one place by bringing together HDTV, AV and PC subject matter. Other notable features include true 3D surround sound with SRS Theatre Sound HD, Dolby Digital Plus Pulse and DTS technology; Picture-In-Picture technology; Ultra Clear Panel; Samsung Magic Angle View and photo accuracy 100%.

If you can’t wait to get your hands on the Samsung HDTV Monitor TA950, you’re going to have to be a little patient. They haven’t hit the U.S. market yet but are expected to have a price tag of around $600.00. For more information, visit Samsung.com.
